Recommendation for an epic city break: leave everything behind and put yourself in the middle of the mountains.

What can you do during the fall? It is the season during which we need holidays, to disconnect from everyday life, but where can we go? It’s no longer time for spending days on the beach but not yet on the snow, so what to do?

My advice for a great city break is a weekend in the mountains.

What’s better than a beautiful breath of fresh air, immersed a nature that is being transformed? The magic of the green leaves becoming brown orange and red, it is a real show that certainly can’t be seen in the gray city streets.

A few weeks ago I enjoyed a bit of a relax at Alpina Dolomites Lodge, a luxury wellness hotel in the heart of the Dolomites (Italy), precisely on Alpe di Siusi, the largest plateau in Europe.

The breathtaking panorama is ideal for photographers, with a 360 ° view of the mountains, it is possible to take pictures from every angle, just like my boyfriend, who spent hours immortalizing the landscape.

Wake up in the morning, open your eyes and see the magnificence of the mountains still lying in bed, it’s something really incredible.

And what about the infinity pool, which at sunset allows you to enjoy the last sunshine, pampered by the whirlpool? Magnificent.

Let’s say I was positively surprised by this location, hard not to fall in love with the blend of nature and luxury.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, about 50 sqm, with a large bathroom, ideal to spend few more minutes than usual to make up and comb.

The real charm is the service offered, from the first to the last minute of stay, a succession of attentions and kindness, that would amaze even the most demanding customer, from the welcome drink, to the water bottle offered before our departure, everything perfect.

Last two positive notes of my stay, but certainly not least important, the spa with several saunas, stim baths and relaxing areas with panoramic views and the restaurant with tasty and genuine food.

For the rest I let you browse through my photographs, which sometimes speak more than a thousand words, for any other curiosity here is the link of the Alpine Dolomites Lodge website: /
